Pravo Kato Magistrala - In Bulgarian language to say that someone is “right” and that a road is “straight” uses the same word - “prav”. Often dances in easier meters are called “pravo horo” and the complicated odd meter ones - “krivo horo”. Jokingly, the name of the tune is translated “Straight as a Highway”, while it is written in one of the most intricate odd meters in Bulgarian folk music, 22/16. It is also written for our guitarist Ludmil Krumov, who likes to joke that he always turns out to be “right”!
